Born in Oakland California in 1949, I was fortunate to grow up in a wonderfully collaged city. Many cultures, views, languages, races, architectures and possiblities thrive in the expansive lights of the East Bay. From an early age, I dreamed of living by the sea and making art. My current studio is two blocks from the blue of Monterey Bay. Seagulls sit outside my window and watch the cut papers fly.
I have received art training at the University of California Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara City College and Monterey Peninsula College. I have lectured on the Art of Collage at the college level as well as taught collage workshops for adults and children. My work is in many private collections and has been shown in dozens of galleries and museums throughout California.
