Marybeth Rinehart is a collage artist who lives in the Monterey Bay area. She gathers her 100% recycled images from old books, maps, calendars and other media. She also utilizes watercolors, inks and specialized papers from other times and countries. In her studio, Marybeth sorts and arranges diverse images to create unified and harmonious works. These colorful and lively pieces integrate fragments into a meaningful whole which delights the viewer's mind as well as eye. Her work has been shown in numerous galleries and museums, including the Monterey Museum of Art and University of California, Santa Cruz. Her work has also been published in many magazines and newspapers.
